Dance House Helsinki is looking for a Head of Technical Department with full working proficiency in English (Finnish appreciated), and strong track record of the technical development of performing arts venues.
At the moment, the construction of the building of Dance House Helsinki is in progress. Construction began in October 2019 and the estimated handover will take place at the end of 2021. The Dancehouse is now defining its core technical specifications, services and operational model.
As Head of Technical Department, you are part of the Executive Board, reporting directly to the director. You are responsible for the technical development of the future house during the construction project and after. As a voice of the user, you supervise the whole process from the house's perspective. Your main task is to achieve a house that works for its set goals and its operations.
You have a deep understanding of the technical requirements of a receiving house for dance. Dance House Helsinki is looking for a person who is multi-skilled in terms of performance tech. You should have:
