Over the course of the summer, EDN member Lokomotiva (North Macedonia) conducted the first edition of its International Summer School. Reflections on contemporary practices of performing arts in relation to activism, social movements and self-organization
Lokomotiva (MK) organised its first International Summer School “Curating in Context”, from August 25 to September 5, 2020 as part of the two-year project realised in partnership with the Stockholm University of Arts, the University of Zagreb (Faculty of Dramatic Art) and Tanzfabrik Berlin, supported by Erasmus+.
The International Summer School “Curating in Context” aims to critically reflect and address different socio-political and economic contexts, and to develop curatorial methods to rethink the contemporary practices of performing arts in relation to activism, social movements and self-organization.
While the school's content was mostly for the local participants, two public discussions were recorded and are very relevant for the European contemporary dance professionals:
